In the last decade surveying and mapping scientific and technological field has a great improvement thanks to instruments and techniques allowed to collect a large amount of data distributed with very high density.Betweenthese instruments,it should be included the terrestrial laser scanning that combines high density information with a very good resolution.In this paper an application to slopes detection of an exhausted mine is presented.The experiment was made with the goal to define with a elatively high accuracy the limit of inclination of slopes in order to avoid landslides even at localized area.In the mean time the principal break lines development has been detected in order to valuate the fractures along the slopes and the slopes stability.In last year the Ground Based SAR technique has been developed.Some recent applications for instables slopes surveying has been experimented in order to define the methodpotentiality and accuracy.The results are shown even in integration with other instruments and techniques.
