异毛类纤毛虫一般体型巨大,种类丰富,但已知种中经过现代方法研究的却不足三分之一.本工作运用活体观察和蛋白银染色技术对采自深圳福田红树林和惠州大亚湾红树林的两种异毛类纤毛虫的活体形态和纤毛图式进行了详细研究,鉴定为一新种——长喙赭纤虫Blepharismarostrata sp.n.和—中国新纪录种——贝宁格鲁博虫Gruberia beninensis Dragesco,1986.本工作同时对赭纤虫属Blepharisma和格鲁博虫属Gruberia进行了修订.
