William Russell and Rex Burchs marvellous book, The Principles of Humane Experimental Technique,which was published in 1959.They emphasised the value of the Three Rs, which has become an important criteria for labanimal science, and even the all areas of life science.In the process of modem science and technology make a spurt of progress, experimental animals continue to make sacrifice for human progress, at the same time, it is essential to insist on the highest scientific standards, combined with the highest ethical standards.3Rs and the humanity criterion to give the animal experiment expectations of good science, also to convey a animal experiment personnel responsibility and mission.Look around the world involved in experimental animals of the laws, regulations, guidelines and experimental methods, all changes cannot do without influence of this book.In 2009, the abridge version of the 3Rs and the Humanity Criterion has issued, this is a book is popular and highly regarded.
