The sprawling of urban built-up area has shifted its spatial pattern, characterized by the supersession of pervious surface by imperviousness. This trend increases pollution transferring channels, obstructs pollution from natural degradation, thus extending pollution dwelling time and causing intensified human health risk in urban areas. This paper explores the effects of spatial pattern on health risks through a simulation model that treats urban impervious film as a compartment based on Level Ⅳ fugacity model.Under both short-time and long-time simulations, this study proved the dynamic changes in urban impervious surface as well as its long-term effects on hu man health due to elevated BaP exposu re.
