　　This paper systematically analyzed the heterogeneities between economic development and ecological environmental protection in provinces municipalities and autonomous regions of China.A coordination degree evaluation method based on comprehensive economic index and comprehensive environmental index has been established,and is used to assess the coordinated development in three levels.The results showed: (1) for all the 31 provincial-level administrative regions in China,the ecological and environmental conditions have been lagging behind the regional economic development.
