The objective of this study was to make a distinction between the lamellar and Haversian structure of the cortical bone, and in the Haversian bone to determine the course of the central vascular canals and as a result, also the course of osteons in individual parts of the distal fibular end;and subsequently to identify a possible correlation with the course of the typical fracture lines of fibular fractures.
