For an affine variety X,an LND of k[X] corresponds to a oneparameter subgroup of automorphisms.We generate a subgroup SAut(X)of Aut(X)by all such automorphisms and study its action on X.Our main interest is to describe X such that the action of SAut(X)is infinitely transitive(in other words,can map any m regular points to any other m regular points).We give some examples of such varieties.They are all unirational.Conversely,for a unirational variety Y of dimension n with an additional data of n P1-bundles,we construct a suitable birational model of some stabilization of Y,obtaining an affine infinitely transitive variety.
