We give a survey of some recent results about the degeneration of families of polynomial automorphisms in three situations.A)In dimension 2 and length 2,where we make a link between the rigidity conjecture due to Furter and the strong factorial conjecture.B)In dimension 2 and length 3,where we begin to see a geometrical structure.C)In dimension 3,where we construct a family of tame automorphisms with a wild limit.
