With the development of high-throughput sequencing technology,we have a better method to study microbe.Compared to traditional experimental methods, the sequencing tech offers us a faster way to study our target strains systematically. Thus,we could modify some gene sites to meet our experimental or industrial demands. In this study, our work contains two parts, evolution of archaea and application of functional bacteria. The genomic data amount of archaea is far less than that of bacteria, thus our study supplement the genomic database for next deep research. Moreover, evolution study is of great importance.Archaea, which has a special evolutional position,is a great investigating object. Some conserved genes are evolutional scale and we hope to study on some conserved genes to clarify the evolutional relationships. For the aspect of bacteria study,we have made use of seq tech to obtain genome sequences of several functional strains, such as high-level catalase producing strain and seaweed degrading strains. After screening and purifying, genome sequencing was conducted. Our aim is to modify the genome sequences and increase application value of engineering strains.Recently,we conducted another marine bacterium named Maribacter thermophilus strain HT7-2T which is robust and can adapt to diverse conditions. To date,M.thermophilus strain HT7-2T is the only one has been found that has a relatively higher optimum temperature compared to other Maribacter species and it is also the first strain to be described that is facultatively anaerobic while other identified strains within genus Maribacter are strictly aerobic.Meanwhile,M.thermophilus strain HT7-2T harbors several coding genes related to heavy metal resistance and to antibiotics, which increase the robustness of the strain. Here,we report the genome sequence and annotation of M.thermophilus strain HT7-2T,which comprises 4,050,606 bp with G+C content of 38.93%.A total of 3,585 protein coding genes,41 tRNAs and 6rRNAs were obtained. The genome annotation may provide basic information on some special traits and pathways in this strain.
