The Onsala Space Observatory (OSO) is contributing since decades to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF).OSO performs VLBI (Very Long Baseline Interferometry) and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) observations and thus is an important co-location station.The geometric relation between the reference points of the various space geodetic techniques at a co-location station (often called local tie vector),and its potential change over time,are of major importance for the maintenance of ITRF.
