The challenge of precise control over the uptake and release of the molecules at will prompts the development of nano-capsules based on distinctive complimentary building units and driving forces,leading to a broad range of applications particularly for drug delivery.Cucurbit[6]uril(CB[6])is cyclic hexamer of glycoluril with interior hydrophobic cavity and polar carbonyl groups surrounding the two identical portals.On account of their good biocompatibility and low toxicity,the applications of CB to encapsulate drug molecules provide promising candidates and the pharmacological activities have been investigated currently.
