Most current research projects deal with studies deciphering mechanisms at the level of molecules or cells.Genomic studies lead to personalized description of genetic background of individuals,not to say their actual genetic expression through RNAseq analyses.Still,most human phenotypic traits are not explained by genetic variations and the 20,000 or so initial protein products are largely diversified in numerous isoforms (one million?) by subtle post-translational modifications.
