Twenty-four leaf mould (Cladosporium fulvum) resistant genes have been found in tomato germplasm.Twenty of the genes have been collected,propagated and kept in the BVRC gene bank.Some of the genes were used in tomato breeding for resistance to leaf mould.When a new race of leaf mould with high virulence became prevalent,it brought a new challenge to tomato production under protected cultivation in China.
