The qualitative and quantitative methods were established by studying on Baeckea frutescens L., which provided a reliable technique for the establishment of the quality standard of Baeckea frutescens L..TLC was used to distinguish the quality of Baeckeafrutescens L.; The external standard method was adopted to determine the content of linalool in Baeckeafrutescens.: Chromatographic assay was performed on a column coated with PEG-20M and OV-17 mixed stationary phase,the column temperature was 150℃.The standard curve was linear in a range of 0.1094~0.6563μg; Through determining the branches and leaves as well as the rootstalk of Baeckeafrutescens L.,the average recoveries were 99.04% and 98.03% respectively with corresponding RSD of 2.48%and 2.79%(n=6).The established method is accuracy ,sensitive and simple.It can be used to control the quality of the medicinal material of Baeckeafrutescens L..
