Robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) is fast gaining momentum.This video focuses on the surgical technique and early outcomes of RARC in a single institution, and compares outcomes with a contemporary open cohort (ORC).All patients treated by radical cystectomy from 1st January 2013 to 30th September 2014 were identified.The demographic, pathological, perioperative and oncological outcomes were evaluated and compared between RARC and ORC.The video also demonstrates the RARC procedure including patient positioning, port placement, bladder extirpation, and intracorporeal urinary reconstruction.
