The valence-bond-solid (VBS) states for one-dimensional quantum integer spin-S chains as the simplest class of symmetry protected topological phases have a degeneracy (S + 1) in the entanglement spectrum.Under a non-local unitary transformation, we exactly calculate the spin probability distributions and the entanglement spectrum.For the odd-integer spins, the transformed VBS states become the ferromagnetic long-range ordered states with a hidden Z2xZ2 symmetry breaking, and are classified into four different class of states according to the eigenvalues of the edge spins.We also find that the degeneracy of the entanglement spectrum is reduced to (S +1)/2, implicating the coexistence of the ferromagnetic and topological order in the transformed VBS states with higher odd-integer spins.
