With the development of cultural studies and the cultural trends of course studies,cultural study of geography textbooks has its necessity.Geography educators have researched the various versions of geography textbooks from the frame,the texts,the images,the cases,the activities,the knowledge and skills,the processes and methods,the attitudes and values of the three-dimensional course objectives,and have reached a relatively mature stage.However the cultural study of geography textbooks is still at a preliminary stage,which failed to show the whole picture of the textbooks' cultural composition,with some limitations.
