Objectives: Intra-tumor heterogeneity has been shown to relate to radiosensitivity local recurrence, and survival rates, The standard uptake value (SUV) distribution in [18F] FDG PET images reflects tumor metabolic heterogeneity.A simple, self-sufficient and easyto-use mathematical model can be very helpful in utilizing the intra-tumor heterogeneity information extracted fiom [18F] FDG PET image data for treatment planning, prognosis, and response assessment in routine cancer management. For this purpose, a new modal has been developed, and a comparative study is reported in this abstract.
