Many natural species are created through self-assembly of heterogeneous nanoscale units with fine-tuned adjustment of the overall force balance to stabilize target motifs.In the laboratory,much progress has been made in controlling the self-assembly of nanoparticles(NPs)into one-,two-,and three dimensional functional materials,with applications in fields ranging from biology,energy and optics.Ordered nanostructures from inorganic nanoparticles(NPs)could be assembled using DNA strands and peptides as template.
