  A facile process for preparing molybdenum-oxide-based composite(MOBC)from peroxomolybdate solutions was proposed in this paper.The morphology of the MOBC could be effectively regulated by assembling of polyethylene glycol(PEG).It was found that PEG acts as a structure-directing agent other than a mild reducing agent.
