Root, as an underground organ to absorb mineral nutrients and water for plant growth and development, plays critical roles for drought tolerance.Root growth in response to water deficit has been shown less sensitive to shoot, which provides privilege for plant to take water from deep soil and keep surviving in dry season.Here, we describe regulation of gibberellin (GA) in growth zone of maize primary root in response to drought stress.
