tung oil is an important strategic materials and reproducible biomass resources.However,the major application is still in the field of traditionally thermal curing paint and coating with lower additional value.Therefore,it is of practical significance and scientific value to modify the structures of tung oil and investigate the novel curing system.So,in this paper,eleostearic acid glyceride,as the main component of tung oil,was transformed to methyl eleostearate by transesterification,and then catechol or derivatives was introduced by Friedel-Crafts alkylation,along with the catalytic effect of acidic ionic liquid on the reaction was studied.According to this study,tung oil can be modified by alkylation to obtain high reactivity and excellent anti-corrosion derivatives,moreover it is also very important for expanding the application of tung oil and nature oil by constructing their new UV curing system.(Scheme 1).
