The communication and traffic were totally paralyzed due to May 12,Wenchuan earthquake,helicopters became the only "life line" for rescue.In response to this unprecedented event,we timely adjusted the organization and command concentrating to details and rapidly established mechanisms for the wounded evacuation,medical staff,drugs and equipments delivery through the wholehearted cooperation of various units and departments between military and the local.1327 serious injured people had been safely transferred by 287 helicopter sorties representing 97.7% of the total evacuation numbers from these three counties through well-organized,standardized procedures.
