Background:Transmembrane protein 2(TMEM2) is a single-pass transmembrane protein, and its role in HBV infection remains unclear. Our previous report has shown that its expression is significantly reduced in liver tissues with chronic hepatitis B(CHB),and HepG2.2.15 cells,as compared with healthy liver tissues and HepG2 cells(Hepatology,2012,56:1661-1670).Now we aimed to explore the potential regulation of TMEM2 in HBV infection and its mechanism-related signaling pathway.
