Electrochemiluminescence of luminol at the titanate nanotubes modified glassy carbon electrode

  A new strategy for construction of sensitive and stable electrochemiluminescent platform based on titanate nanotubes (TNTs) and Nafion composite modified electrode for luminol was proposed.In the experiment,TNTs contained composite modified electrode showed some photocatalysis capabilities toward to luminol electrochemiluminescence emission,thus it would dramatically enhance the luminol light emission.This extremely sensitive and stable platform allowed obvious decrease of the experiment electrochemiluminescence reagent of luminol.And in the low concentration of luminol solution,we compared the capabilities of bare glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with TNT contained composite modified electrode for hydrogen peroxide.The electrochemiluminescence instenty was linear to the hydrogen peroxide concentration in the ranges of 1.0×10-9 to 5.0×10-7 M with a limit of detection of 8.8×10-10 M.The results indicated,compared with GCE,this platform was extraordinarily sensitive to hydrogen peroxide.Therefore,combining with an appropriate enzymatic reation,this platform would be a sensitie matrix for many biomolecules.
