The radiated sound from the impacted body has not only the information of the impact force but also many types of information.We studied the method in order to identify the impact position,the Youngs modulus of the impacted body,the radius of the impact area,and so on by measuring the radiated sound by several microphones.On the other hand,it is also important to measure the defect of objects.Therefore,in this study,we propose the method in order to identify the position and the shape of the defect in the impacted body by measuring the radiated sound pressure and using FEM analysis.Additionally,the time dependence of the impact force is also identified at the same time.By the actual experiment,the defect and the impact force is identified,and the efficiency of the proposed method is confirmed.
