Since the experimental discovery of graphene in 2004[1], this single atomic sheet of graphite has attracted considerable research attentions due to its exceptional electronic characteristics[2].However, zero band gap of bulk graphene limits its direct applications towards transistors and other semiconducting devices[3].Among the improvements, fabricating graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) is proved feasible to open a sizable energy gap[4,5].
