The Chi group focuses on the discovery and development of sustainable organic catalysis and new synthetic strategies for organic synthesis, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and materials assemblies or modifications.Examples of recent accomplishments in the group include reaction development via controlling the activation paths of enals and aldehydes, oxidative NHC catalysis, and cooperative remote activations.
