Several yeasts were isolated from wild flowers of Gyonggi-do and Jeju island in Korea, and were identified by comparison of their PCR-amplifled D1/D2 region of 26S rDNA, internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 1 and 2 inclusive of 5.8S rDNA using BLAST database.Total fifty five yeast strains of twenty five species and total thirty two yeast strains of fourteen species were isolated from wild flowers of Gyonggi-do including Guro-dong of Seoul and Jeju island in Korea, respectively.Among fifty five strains from Gyonggi-do including Seoul (Guro-dong), 14 species of genus Pseudozyma were dominant yeasts and seven species of genus Cryptococcus were also isolated.
