Borromean rings describe a fascinating topological structure as three objects are linked together while any two of them are unlinked.In this talk,I will show that its quantum mechanical analog in physics,namely the Borromean trimer,can be induced in ultracold Fermi gases with Rashba spin-orbit coupling(SOC).It is facilitated by the symmetry of the single-particle dispersion under SOC,and is therefore universal against any short-range interaction details.I will further show that such universal trimer state will be further stabilized in a background of spin-orbit coupled Fermi sea with particle-hole fluctuations.
