A composite (VOx/C) was synthesized firstly using electrospinning method.The structure and morphology of composite (VOx/C) was characterized by XRD,XPS,SEM,TEM techniques.The results showed that the VOx/C composite took on nanofiber morphology and the diameter of nanofibers was distributed from 50 to 150 nm.The XRD and XPS analysis showed that nano-(VOx/C) composite mainly contained VO2,V2O5 and carbon,The electrochemical properties of the VOx/C composite were investigated.The results showed that the VOx/C nano fiber composite as an anode material had high initial discharge capacity (1220 mAh.g-1) in a testing cells working in 3.0V to 0.01V potential window at room temperature.The discharge capacity of the VOx/C composite was retained at 890 mAh/g after 200 cycles when discharge/charge current density is 40 mA/g.when discharge/charge current density is increased to 1000mA/g,the VOx/C composite still have higher reversible capacity and retained reversible capacity at 500mAh/g after 200 cycles.The outstanding electrochemical properties of VOx/C nao-fiber composite make it possible to be used as a novel anode material for lithium ion battery application.
