Multidrug resistance (MDR) of cancer cells to cytotoxic drugs significantly impedes chemotherapeutic treatment.The purpose of this study is to characterize docetaxel (DOC) or vincristine (VCR) selected A549 and H1299 nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) sublines that exhibit MDR phenotypes and followed by re-sensitization study.We also further established the Gemzar and alimta-resistant A549 sublines for the study.We found that DOC-resisted A549 sublines were more sensitive to Alimta and equal sensitive to Gemzar, when compared with parental A549 cells.
