The interfacial emulsion produced in the solvent extraction process is detrimental to the extraction circuit. In this work, the organic phase was studied in detail to prevent the emulsion formed in the extraction separation of vanadium and chromium. The effect of various parameters referring to the organic phase on the percentage of the emulsion produced was investigated, including the type and the concentration of the extractant and the modifier, the diluent, and the phase ratio.
