Quantitative studies of total salivary gland protein of Aedes albopictus mosquitoes revealed that the amount of protein in female salivary glands increased from 0.68 ±0.30μg on day zero after emergence to 1.95μg±0.38 on day 5,and then decreased from 1.733±0.46μg on day 7 to 1.205±0.43μg on day 10.
