From the perspective of using composites to protect human body and object, impact energy diffusion and absorption of carbon fibers, basalt fibers and ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fibers (UHMWPE) reinforced composites were studied using low-velosity impact test device built by ourselves,. The relationships between the residual impact energy which transfer to protector side and the three factors of reinforced material, reinforced material form and glass thickness were studied. The results showed that the residual impact energy of fabric composites was significantly less than the unidirectional fabric. Reinforcing material for basalt fiber composite energy absorbing performance was the best material. 2mm of glass thickness composite energy absorbing had optimal performance.
