Over the past decades,technologies in the micro-scale have been extensively studied and successfully applied in the fields of electronics,information technology,optics,medicine and biology covering areas such as diagnostics,drug delivery,tissue engineering and minimally invasive surgery.Micro gdpper is one of the key tools for precise micro and nano scale manipulation and it can implement various micro operations,for example,assemblies of micro parts,manipulations of biological cells,and handlings of living bodies for micro surgeries.A typical micro gdpper is made of silicon or stainless steel,designed as a compliant mechanism where conventional bearings are replaced by flexure hinges in order to facilitate manufacture and attain precise manipulation.
