Lithium sulfur battery is a promising energy storage system due to its high specific energy density,low cost and environmental friendliness.But poor cycle performance and potential safty issue has hindered its practical application.The developing levels of lithium sulfur battery are introduced concisely.The important progresses on the cathode materials,electrolytes,lithium anode are reviewed.Furthermore,some considerations on the practical requirements and safty issue on lithium sulfur batteries are put forward in this report according to the related investigations of our group.
