Power generation onboard a hypersonic vehicle powered by scramjet is strongly demanded by electric consuming systems such as radar and weapon systems.A new power generation system onboard a hydrocarbon cooled scramjet using fuel vapor turbine was put forward.The compositions of fuel vapor were tested by experiments.The thermal properties of fuel vapor as real gas were obtained based on SRK equation of state and the isentropic enthalpy drops of fuel vapor were also calculated by numerical method for real gass isentropic process.Remarkable changes of fuel vapors isentropic enthalpy drops were found out as the pyrolysis took place and a value of 110kJ/kg could be derived at the initial condition of 950K and 3MPa when the expansion ratio was 2.A specific generated power of 55kJ/kg was possible through a turbine expansion ratio of 2 at the initial temperature of 950K.
