Geographical arrangement of Tajikistan on border of the moderate and subtropical zone,strongly dismembered relief,change of climatic conditions in connection with vertical zones define variety of natural ecosystems.The leading position in Tajikistan is occupied by mountain ecosystems where about 80％ of variety of animals is concentrated.In mountain ecosystems many species of animals occupy limited ecological niches and are extremely vulnerable to changes of climatic conditions.Among various types of ecosystems of Tajikistan the most vulnerable to climate change impact are arid desert high-mountainous ecosystems and high-mountainous lakes.In Tajikistan one of the main indicators of climate change impact is acceleration of process of melting and reduction of the glaciers area.According to the second National report of Tajikistan on climate change (2009),since 1938 to the present the area of glaciers of Tajikistan decreased more than 30%.
