In the experimental investigation of plasma and discharging,we often meet the cases with unpractical-in-lab parameters.For example,the study of space plasma interacting with space craft relates to very low density plasma and the plasma cavity is very difficult to be made in ground lab.Similarly,in the numerical study (especially with the Particle In Cell method) of discharging plasma,we meet the case which needs too many computational resource costs to run in practice.For example,industry hollow cathode plasma has a large density-size product and needs very dense grid and very large number of steps to simulating.
