In this paper, sound transmission loss of the specimens made of nanoclayreinforced polypropylene (PP) composites was investigated in order to understand their soundproof property.Different weight percents (0.9 to 13wt%) of nanoclay filler were added into PP.Two types of specimens were fabricated with thin disc shape (29ram diameter, 3mm thickness) using injection molding machine and panel shape (200mm × 200mm × 3mm) using hot press machine respectively.
