Let X be a Banach space. We write Gr(n,X)for the Grassmannian of rank n over X,that is the set of all n-dimensional subspaces of X which is equipped with a certain topology.Let Gr(∞,X)=∪∞n=1Gr(n,X).First,we will focus on the study of the topology on Gr(∞,X).In particular,we will investigate the topology given by the Banach-Mazur distance on Gr(∞,X).Second,we will investigate the differential structure of Gr(∞,X).Also, the submanifolds of Gr(∞;X)and the Grassmanninas over the quotient spaces of X are studied.
