　　Background: The invasion of schistosome larvae through the skin presents a complex challenge to the immune system, but how the larvae adapts or modulates the hosts immune system has been a mystery for a long time.As dendritic cells (DCs) play a central role in the control of immune response, we studied the impact of schistosomulae at different stages on the function of DCs.
