  Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) play very important roles in the field of lithium ion batteries.In this talk,research progress on CNT composite electrodes and CNT current collectors will be presented.In one aspect, CNT has been recognized as a solution in improving the performance of the state-of-the-art electrode materials.The CNT-based composite electrodes can be fabricated by mechanical approaches (such as ultrasonication and co-deposition method) [1] or in-situ synthesis methods (such as PVD method) [2].Owing to the large aspect ratio and the high electrical conductivity, CNTs at very low loading can lead to an efficient conductive network.
