  In order to investigate the effects of preform structure on thermal conductivity of needle-punched quartz fiber reinforced epoxy resin composites, the quartz fiber preforms were madeup of layers of non-woven quartz fiber cloth and short-cut quartz fiber web followed by needle-punching step by step, and the composites were prepared by resin transfer molding process.The thermal conductivities of epoxy resin and needle-punched quartz fiber reinforced compositeswere measured by using transient hot-wire methodat room temperature.
