Objectives Paraoxonase(PON1)activity had been suggested to influence individuals susceptibility to coronary artery disease(CAD).The promoter activity had been shown in several studies to affect the extent of the transcription of genes.This study aimed to assess the relationship of polymorphisms within the promoter of the PON1 gene with the risk for developing CAD in Asian Chinese.
