　　It is well established that the C.elegans insulin/IGF-1 receptor tyrosine kinase DAF-2 acts though a highly conserved kinase cascade consisting of AGE-1(PI 3-kinase),PDK-1,AKT-1,and AKT-2 to inhibit the FoxO transcription factor DAF-16,thereby maintaining a relatively short,wild-type lifespan(1).
