The prevalence of chronic kidney disease(CKD) worldwide is estimated to be 8-16%.Even mild impairment of renal function was associated with significantly elevated morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular disease.Nearly 50% of all deaths in patients with CKD are attributed to cardiovascular diseases.Cardiovascular diseases, including cardiac remodeling, coronary heart disease and sudden cardiac death, are the major causes of death in CKD patients.
