Light at night (LAN) is an anthropogenic interference that took place in the last 130 years since the invention of the incandesced bulb by Edison, by transformation of electrical energy into illumination.While in the old bulbs much of the energy was transformed into heat in the modem ones considered "Environmental Friendly" most of the electrical energy is converted into illumination thus increasing light intensity (chasing the darkness away) mainly that of short wave length (less than 500nm), resulting in a new source of environmental pollution namely-"Light Pollution".
