Background,Motivation and Objective Because bone strength depends on cortical thickness and porosity that are not accurately assessed with current X-ray technologies,there is clear call for clinical surrogates to improve the assessment of bone strength.In this study,we investigated the potential of ultrasound guided waves to yield estimate of these properties and to predict bone strength.
